Residential plumbing

Homes have more plumbing than most people realise — supply lines in the walls, drains under the floor, pumps, tanks and heaters working all day. We install, repair and upgrade all of it, and leave the house as clean as we found it.

Hidden pipework, handled carefully

The most expensive plumbing faults in a home are the ones inside walls and under floors. We trace them with pressure tests, isolation and moisture readings before opening anything, so we cut once, in the right place, and keep tile damage to a minimum.

Where old galvanised iron lines are corroding from the inside, we can re-pipe the affected section or the whole house in PPR or CPVC, planned room by room so you keep water through most of the job.

Signs you should not ignore

A damp patch that keeps growing

Concealed leaks rarely fix themselves. The longer they run, the more plaster, tiles and wiring they reach.

Pressure suddenly drops

A sudden fall in pressure on one floor usually points to a leak, a blockage or a failing pump — all worth catching early.

Gurgling drains or sewer smell

Usually a dry or broken trap, a partial blockage or poor venting. Left alone, it gets worse after heavy use or rain.

Toilets and cisterns that behave

A cistern that refills every few minutes can waste thousands of litres a month without a single visible drip. We replace fill valves, flush valves and seals with parts that match the cistern, adjust water levels, and check the pan connector and floor seal while we are there.

Home plumbing questions

For the diagnosis, yes, or someone who can give access and approve the quote. For longer jobs we can agree access times in advance.

Usually only for the section being worked on, and for as short a time as possible. We tell you before isolating and how long it will be off.

Yes. We can supply fittings from established brands, or install ones you have already bought, after checking they suit your water pressure.

We make the opening as small as possible and close the pipework properly. Tile replacement can be co-ordinated with your tiler or ours.
